I am a follower of Bettina Carlos for quite sometime now. Ever since I started taking her famous Nutella Rocks from the Milking Bombs especially when I am just starting my breastfeeding journey. The duo of Bettina Carlos and her bubbly daughter Gummy is such a breath of a fresh air. Each posts I am seeing online were full of good vibes. That's why when I heard that she had a new baby C'Kitchenry, I know I should't miss visiting the place especially it's just along the way going to office .
From the facebook review I posted, I will be sharing the official food review when we tried Samgyupsalamat in Robinsons Galleria, including the newest unlimited cheese that they offer (Went back for the second time)
(Photo from Samgyupsalamat Facebook Page)
When I first posted in tetadventurer facebook page the local Korean Restaurant we had in Rizal, I was surprised with numbers of comments saying that I should try Samgyupsalamat. I have heard the place for a long time already. I just don't have the chance to try it due to the location not until they recently opened their Ortigas branch in Robinsons Galleria.
I really suggest to go on non peak hour if you hate lining up in queue. ( Especially they don't have time limit ) We arrived during lunch time on our first visit and waited for around 30 minutes to be seated. But the service was a breeze. You will be immediately served with basic Korean Appetizers. My most favorite would be their soup and the spicy green onion salad.
P2: Bul Jib | B2: Yang Nyum Beef
For the first timer like us, you have to select 2 meats at a time from their Unlimited 1/Unlimited 2. I initially asked for all their meats, pero sabi not allowed unless every meat was consumed.
P1 / B1 : With some salt and pepper (per request). Always a pleaser to me!
P2: Bul Jib - Tasted like Lechon Kawali!
B3: Boolgogi | P3: Yang Nyum DaePae
Most of their meats with sauces were on the sweet side. Really enjoyed it over wrapped lettuce and over rice!
That's Dadai doing the action. Remember, this is a grilling place so expect that you'll smell like Samgyupsal after.
From the meats, sides, down to their soup, everything was delicious!
I don't know about you but I just love putting everything altogether! Our first visit were truly delightful.
A few days after our visit, Samgyupsalamat posted that they will be including the cheese on their unlimiteds with no extra cost! We were still on Samgyupsalamat hangover that time and melted cheese craze so I told Dadai that we should come back!
Fewer appetizers were served that time compared to our first visit. So I have to asked for my favorite Spicy green onion salad. The cheese and the Korean meat sauce were served together with the appetizers.
The cheese will be served on the side and wait for it to be melted. Pretty excited to try the fuss all about but unfortunately, I was disappointed. I'm not sure if I just had high hopes but the cheese tasted really bland and weird. The gooey-bubble gum texture was there but the taste was really milky and not cheesy at all. :(
So, after the first try we didn't even bother to put the melted cheese together with our meats. I still love to go back at Samgyupsalamat but surely not for their cheese but for their flavorful appetizers and meats!
These are the meats to choose from. Remember that they really charge for left overs since I heard the conversation from the other table beside us. Haha . I think it's a good rule to avoid waste of food. So initially start with the meats you are eager to try and continue with the rest as long as your appetite can handle.

I'm still a newbie when it comes to Korean Restaurants! Any suggestions? Let me know your thoughts!
It took sometime for me to decide if I should be adding this to my website, but then I realized that it's something I am passionate doing about. Being a Mom! And sooner or later, I can't wait for my daughter to read everything about this!

So to give a quick background, Aldrin and I decided that after being married, we will enjoy each other's company roughly about 2 years before having a baby. So when we got married last January 9, 2016, guess what, after 2 months we found out that I was pregnant! Imagine, from 2 years to 2 months! Haha!
(Oct 17, 2016 - A day before I gave birth)
My pregnancy was quite an easy ride for me. I didn't experienced morning sickness such as vomiting but feeling nauseous once in a while. Skittles would be my friend during that time! The greatest sacrificed that I did for pregnancy were two things. No Coffee and Limit (or totally avoid) sweets intake! Both were my favorites and I can't live without but I have to sacrificed it all for the benefit of my baby. That explains that I am way slimmer when I am pregnant! *wink*
It's real that once you were expecting, you will not think about the gender of your baby. What's important is for the baby to be healthy and normal. That's it! But God has been extra sweet to us that granted our tiny request to have a Baby Girl that we named Maria Tiffany Laurenne! :)
I gave birth last October 18, 2016. Ever since my first prenatal check up until the last, my baby girl was breached. Funny thing that Aldrin and I did everything found online to have the baby's position in normal--- like playing sound near my navel area, putting cold and hot compress, squatting and all other crazy stuff found online BUT it didn't worked. HAHA!
I even bought new long lasting lipstick so I can have great picture with my baby girl!
First three months were quite challenging to us first time parents. Not because Laurenne gave us a hard time but we were paranoid. Even our baby were asleep, Aldrin and I take turns watching over her. WATCHING OVER IF SHE IS STILL BREATHING. Hahaha! So yeah, the tip would be, if the baby is sleeping, then take that chance to recharge yourselves. (Taking note of the 3 hour feeding interval ofcourse).
I also had Breastfeeding troubles during my first weeks since I am inverted. But through God's grace, I was able to succeed with our breastfeeding journey. Also donated my milk stash to the NICU babies. And YES, breastfeeding journey still continues!
(Strike Anywhere! 2 years and counting!)

(Laurenne's First Birthday Party)
(Laurenne's Second Birthday)

Now that Laurenne is on her toddler years, I can't grasp how fast the transition will be! Laurenne is such a smart and talkative little girl. Only the ones at home knows about this since she is usually shy with other people around. She turns like a "Makahiya" plant because she tends to hide and hug her Mommy and Daddy whenever someone tries to initiate a conversation with her. But I know sooner or later she'll get through it.

Laurenne is such a Mommy's Girl! (So far) Maybe it's one of the perks of being a breastfeeding Mommy. It's the unexplainable connection between the two of us! Even if her Dadai is around, it will always be "Mommy" in her eyes! Aldrin knows about that. He already accepted that he's second place is Laurenne's eyes. ---Again, so far!

BUT! There's an exception! Allow me to brag my daughter and I really meant it. Laurenne is such an intelligent baby. She will instantly be a Daddy's girl when we are inside malls. Whether it will be SM Malls, Robinsons, Ayala Malls, Megaworld (Eastwood) especially when she knows there is Kidzoona inside. She'll turn me down and instantly go to her Daddy saying "Daddy, Kidzoona please?" **Insert Puppy Eyes here!** She knows her Daddy can't say No to her. But after she get what she wants, wala na! Lakas maka user! Haha!
God has been really great that he blessed us with Laurenne! God's plan has been way better than our timeline. Even if I will turn back time, I wouldn't even change a single thing! It's amazingly beautiful how much you can love a person you didn't know you can give once you become a parent!

When I was in Malaysia, my go to favorite meal would be the noodles with roasted duck. It roughly costs around 150 pesos with heaping amount of noodles and fatty roasted duck. That's what initially comes to my mind when I heard about Kam's Roast.
Kam's Roast is a Michelin Starred restaurant and well known for having affordable yet scrumptious food
You'll see roasted ducks, pigs and crispy pork on their display
The place was okay. But what I loved about them is their restroom!
Jelly Fish with Sesame Oil (180 pesos) - I'm such a sucker of jelly fish in Chinese Restaurants. This one was pretty straight forward (Jelly Fish + Sesame Oil) but delicious. Though I wished they put tad bit of chili to it.
Century Egg (180 pesos) - This one was also okay. But I find it odd that they just sliced it in half. hehe!
Roast Duck Noodle (350 pesos) - This was the one I always order in Malaysia. But it Malaysia, it was somewhat served with soy-sauce glazed. In KAM's it will be served with soup. You may opt to put it together or served it separately as I've ordered.
CHOOSE 2 (650 Pesos) - You can choose from their meats (Soy Chicken, Crispy Pork, BBQ Pork, Toro Char Sui). The Crispy Pork was indeed crispy! I was not sold at first when I saw it and thinking that it might be rubbery at some point. But no, it's really crispy!
But among all dishes, I will give my vote to the Toro Char Sui. The perfectly sweetened pork with the rightful amount of fatty trimmings. It was so good that I felt so guilty after eating these! Haha!
Me and Dadai initially thought that we ordered few items. But we were quite surprised that we can't even consumed all of it. Kam's Roast definitely deserves that Michelin star rating! How about you? Have you tried Kam's Roast already?

Robinson's Galleria has a special spot in my heart. It's my family's "To Go" to mall when we were kids. I was also given the chance to work just beside the mall. So imagine the convenience? Whenever we have our lunch out (Hello Joey, Jess, Tin and Kevs!) or every time I need to do some grocery for Laurenne's fruits and vegetables. Everything is there! And oh, during the Christmas shopping rush? I can complete that in no time!
Quite sad and missing those moments whenever we are going at Robinsons Galleria. Especially there are lots of new restaurants and shops that were not there during that time! Nonna's Pasta and Pizzeria captured our attention with the bright and lovely interiors they have from a far!
Mushroom Chicharon (180 pesos) - Crispy fresh oyster mushroom served with vinaigrette on the side. IT'S A MUST when you go to Nonna's. The mushrooms were great on its own, but what more when you paired it with their vinaigrette? This is really addictive!
Chicken Fingers (180 pesos) - Perfect when you are with your kids. Chicken strips coated and fried until golden brown. My only concern is that it was really oily. I posted these comments on instagram and they duly noted this feedback I had. They do have great services during our stay too!
Spaghetti Vongole Olio (285 pesos) - This was an accidental order. We actually ordered Spaghetti Aglio Olio but they wrote down our order mistakenly. BUT! It was such a great mistake! Their al dente pasta, clams, garlic, and sun dried tomato perfectly complemented each other! We also ordered their Salted Egg Pasta and Spaghetti Bolognese but I can't seemed to find the picture. Haha!
Chicken Pesto Pizza (350 pesos) - I am biased when it comes to pesto. Anything that is pesto will be delicious to me! It's perfect with their chili honey. Just drizzled on top, and baaaam! Party of flavors in your mouth!
Roast Beef Pizza (485 pesos) - Hand stretched dough, topped with pomodoro, mozarella, rib eye slices, caramelized onions and home made ricotta. Topped with fresh arugula! I am late bloomer when it comes to arugula, but it's now on my favorites now!
Have you been to Nonna's? Share me your thoughts below! :)
See their facebook page here
Who would have thought? After 2 years, now I'm back again online! Though I am quite active on Instagram and facebook page (See here), but not really on 'blogosphere' where I actually started. I really can't sleep and wandered off my thoughts and I realized that this is one of the things I wanted to do.

Laurenne's Second Birthday Party (Photo By: Pram and Cradle)
So just a quick wrap up. What happened on that 2 years of absence? Well, from the previous posts, I got married to "boyfie" now I called "Dadai". I am now already in the Philippines since I got home sicked when I was working in Malaysia. HAHA! We were blessed with our wonderful daughter named Maria Tiffany Laurenne. But we usually calls her Laurenne.

From the tandem set up I had with Aldrin, now we have Laurenne is completely different. What we usually considers now if the place would be kid friendly! Funny that whenever I read my reviews way back, I kinda giggled inside and realized I quite matured a lot. Probably because I am on Mommy phase already (that explains the new minimalist dynamic blog layout) I have gazillion photos of restaurants and resorts to share with you guys! And expect a Welcome Back Giveaway from me! Even though I am not writing online, it's still within "ME" taking pictures because I know, sooner or later I will be back. But yeah, kinda rusty. :)
And guess what? tetadventurer.blogspot.com is now tetadventurer.com!
